Core Opening and Closing Component—Gate Disc

The gate plate is the core opening and  ending  element, which moves up and down  vertical to the fluid to control on- off; the core  point of the soft- sealed gate  stopcock is that the sealing  face of the gate plate is covered with soft accoutrements .

Sealing support components——valve seat and valve body

The stopcock seat and  stopcock body are the core of the sealing support;

The stopcock seat and gate plate form a sealing brace, and their accoutrements  are compatible with the medium;

The stopcock body is the  external shell with a  erected- in straight- through channel, and cast iron/ cast  sword ensures pressure bearing. .

Power Transmission Hub——Valve Stem and Operating Mechanism

The  stopcock stem transmits force with the operating medium to drive the gate to open and close;

 The  stopcock stem is divided into rising stem( exposed for easy observation) andnon-rising stem( hidden to save space); the operating medium includes handwheel, electric/ curvaceous , which drives the  stopcock stem to lift.

 Operation Detector Manually rotate the handwheel or start the electric/ curvaceous  medium to drive the  stopcock stem overhead;

 Gate separation Separate from the  stopcock seat to form a rotation gap;

 Full conduction The gate rises to the full periphery height to be completely open, and the vertex is turned back half a circle to one circle to  help locking. .

Closing process: Blocking from circulation to sealing

 Rear driving Rear operation drives the gate to descend;

 Sealing fit The gate fits with the  stopcock seat, the elastic gate deforms to fill the gap, and the rigid part is sealed by external force/ medium pressure;

 Channel blocking The sealing  shells fit to cut off the fluid, and the  ending force is controlled to  help damage .

Performance advantages and application limitations

Core Advantages

Low Inflow resistance The straight- through channel has low inflow resistance, suitable for large inflow rates and reducing energy consumption; the soft- sealed type has  fresh tight sealing without leakage, suitable for clean media  similar as drinking water and food;

 Bidirectional inflow No need to distinguish between  bay and outlet, flexible installation

Application Limitations

Slow opening and  ending long stroke, not suitable for  rapid-fire response; soft- sealed type has poor high- temperature resistance and wear resistance, and should avoid high temperatures( ≤ 120 ℃), media containing  patches and strong  sharp media;

 High  conservation bring the sealing  face is  fluently damaged, and  conservation is complicated;

In summary, gate  faucets control the on- off of fluids through the direct movement of the gate plate; soft- sealed  faucets achieve high-  perfection sealing by means of soft accoutrements , are suitable for clean and low- pressure  scripts, and are n’t suitable for high temperatures or harsh media. Clarifying their characteristics can  give a base for design, selection, and  conservation, and  opting  them in combination with working conditions can  insure the safe and effective operation of the system。
