1.Differences in installation methods:
Flange butterfly valves generally use flange connection and are installed by setting a separate flange connection on the pipeline; while wafer butterfly valves are installed by butt-clamping the wafer flange on the pipeline.

2.Differences in connection methods:
The flange butterfly valve connects two flanges together by bolts and uses a sealing gasket and rubber ring to seal between the flanges; while the wafer butterfly valve clamps the wafer flange on the pipe through the clamping force of the wafer flange and then achieves sealing through a sealing ring.

3.Difference in structure length:
In terms of structural length, flange butterfly valves are generally longer than wafer butterfly valves because flange connections require additional pipe length to install the flanges; while wafer butterfly valves are relatively shorter.

4.Weight difference:
Since the flange butterfly valve uses flange connection, more bolts are required at the connection point, so it is relatively heavier than the wafer butterfly valve.

5.Differences in driving modes:
Flange butterfly valves are generally driven manually, electrically or pneumatically, while wafer butterfly valves are generally driven manually or electrically, with pneumatic drive being relatively rare.
