All manual, pneumatic, hydraulic and electric butterfly valves shall be subject to pressure test and commissioning before delivery. Pressure detection is the key process to inspect the strength, sealing effect and opening and closing stability of the valve body, so as to ensure that the product can adapt to various pipe working conditions and avoid leakage and pressure relief during operation.

All butterfly valves shall be subject to the unified pressure test process before delivery, and the valve structure, transmission parts and sealing parts shall be fully calibrated. Ex-factory pressure test includes shell strength test and sealing performance test. Check the bearing capacity and sealing performance of the product. The product can only be shipped after passing the test to ensure the ex-factory quality of the product.

On-site re-inspection by the user shall be carried out according to the standard operation: fix the inlet and outlet of the valve, apply pressure on the inlet side after closing the butterfly valve, check whether there is medium leakage at the outlet side and judge whether the sealing performance is qualified. During the pressure test for the overall strength of the pipeline, the butterfly plate shall be opened to prevent the sealing pair from being damaged under pressure and reduce the man-made damage to the valve.

The factory pressure test of butterfly valve controls the pressure bearing and sealing performance of the product from the source. Standardized inspection and standard re-inspection operation can effectively reduce the hidden dangers of pipeline operation and ensure the long-term stable operation of municipal and industrial fluid pipeline systems.
