What is flange butterfly valve?
Flange butterfly valve is a simple structure of the control valve, mainly by the valve body, butterfly plate, valve stem, sealing ring and other components.The valve is equipped with flanges on both sides and can be easily installed between two pipes.

Butterfly valve flange type structure and working principle
The butterfly plate of the flange butterfly valve is installed in the diameter direction of the pipe. In the cylindrical channel of the butterfly valve body, the disc-shaped butterfly plate rotates around the axis, and its rotation angle is between 0° and 90°.When the butterfly plate rotates to 90°, the valve is fully open.

When the flange butterfly valve is in the fully open position, the thickness of the butterfly plate is the only resistance when the medium flows through the valve body, so the pressure drop generated is very small and it has good flow control characteristics.In addition, the flange butterfly valve also has the characteristics of simple and compact structure, small operating torque, and rapid opening of 90° rotation.
Refer to EPDM, which is a commonly used high-performance sealing material with excellent corrosion, high temperature and pressure resistance.

Flange butterfly valves are suitable for industries such as water supply and drainage, sewage, food, heating, gas, ships, hydropower, metallurgy, energy systems, and light textiles with temperatures ≤120°C or ≤150°C and nominal pressures ≤1.6MPa.It is especially suitable for two-way sealing and situations where the valve body is prone to rust. It can be used as a flow regulating and intercepting medium.
