A.Before installation, check whether the pipeline is clean. The adjustable pressure reducing valve should be installed horizontally on the pipeline. A filter and a gate valve should be installed before the valve, and a gate valve should be installed after it to facilitate the replacement and maintenance of the pressure reducing valve and filter out impurities in the liquid.
B.Before debugging, ensure that a filter has been installed before the pressure reducing valve, and check whether the pressure reducing valve is installed correctly according to the flow direction. Check if the pressure reducing valve, upper needle valve, and ball valve are all in the fully open state.
C.Debugging of the pressure reducing valve
Turn the pilot valve adjusting bolt on the pressure reducing valve counterclockwise until it is loose.
Close the gate valve before the pressure reducing valve, relieve the pressure after the valve, and observe until the outlet pressure gauge returns to zero.
Close the gate valve after the pressure reducing valve and open the gate valve before the valve.

Start to adjust the pilot valve clockwise, adjust the bolt, and the adjustment process should be slow. Always observe the change in the value of the outlet pressure gauge.

After the debugging is completed, when the pressure of the lock nut reaches the required value of the pipeline, stop the adjustment. Wait for the value of the pressure gauge to stabilize, and then gradually adjust it to the required value.

When adjusting the pressure, if the pressure exceeds the required value, it is necessary to re-commence the debugging from the beginning in accordance with step one.

Open the gate valves before and after the valve, and the valve can operate normally.

D.Methods for Handling Common Problems of Pressure Reducing Valves
After the water usage downstream of the pipeline stops, the pressure after the valve gradually rises until it equals the pressure before the valve. If there are impurities such as sand particles, welding slag, etc., in the pipeline or water, they will contaminate the sealing surface, resulting in poor sealing. For the treatment method, first close the gate valve before the valve, then open the gate valve after the valve, observe that the pressure gauge before the valve shows 0, and then close the gate valve after the valve to prevent backflow.
Then open the valve cover of the pressure reducing valve, take out the spring and valve core inside the valve for cleaning, clean the valve body cavity thoroughly, reinstall the valve as it was, debug it, and put it into use.
