Y strainer, also known as cleaner and filter valve, is widely used in water supply and drainage, water conservancy and industrial fluid pipeline systems. The equipment is mainly used to intercept solid impurities in the medium, prevent rust, sand and particles from entering the back-end pipeline, prevent valves, instruments and pipeline equipment from blocking and wearing, ensure normal operation of the pipeline system, and facilitate disassembly and maintenance.

The Y-type filter relies on the built-in filter cartridge to complete the filtration. When the fluid enters the valve body, the solid impurities are blocked by the filter screen, and the clean medium flows out from the outlet of the equipment to purify the pipeline medium. If the equipment is used for a long time, the accumulation of impurities will cause the blocking of the filter screen and the decrease of the pipe flow. Regular cleaning and maintenance are required to ensure the filtration effect.

Standard cleaning procedure: close the inlet and outlet valves of the pipeline and release the residual pressure inside the valve body. Remove the end cover of the filter, take out the filter cartridge, and clean the impurities on the surface with clean water and brush; Severe blockage can be treated with high-pressure flushing [to be supplemented]. Check whether the filter screen is intact after cleaning, install the filter cartridge back to the original position and fasten the end cover, and put it into normal use after pressure test to confirm no leakage.

Y strainer is simple in structure, stable in filtration performance and low in maintenance cost. It is the basic protective fitting for industrial and municipal pipeline systems. Regular cleaning and maintenance can effectively avoid pipeline blockage, extend the service life of valves and pipeline equipment, and adapt to various fluid transmission conditions.
