Many engineering customers doubt: the same is the nodular cast iron valve, why do some of them peel, rust, paint off half a year, but our valves are still intact all the year round, outdoor exposure to the sun? The real gap comes from the epoxy coating process that many factories can easily ignore. Paint finish is not simple decoration, but the first protective barrier for valve corrosion protection and extended service life.
Before leaving the factory, all cast iron valves of our company will implement a set of standardized and fine epoxy resin spraying process, which is far from ordinary simple painting. The first step is the overall sand blasting and derusting treatment. The oxide skin, rust, oil stain and impurities on the surface of the valve body are thoroughly removed by high-pressure sand blasting, so as to form a uniform rough surface on the surface of the valve body, greatly improve the adhesive force of the coating, and eliminate common defects such as bulge, peeling off and peeling at the later stage of the paint surface from the root. Upon sandblasting and cleaning, we enter the core spraying link. We use industrial-grade high-quality epoxy resin anticorrosive coating in the whole process, which is different from the cheap finishing paint in the market, greatly improving the permeability and aging resistance.
Double-layer spraying+high temperature curing standard process shall be adopted in the process. First, the primer shall be sprayed to seal the metal substrate, and then the thickened finish shall be sprayed for protection. The two layers of paint shall be evenly covered with uniform thickness. Upon the completion of spraying, the valves shall be uniformly sent to the thermostatic drying room, and 120 ℃ – 140 ℃ thermostatic drying and curing shall be strictly controlled. The insulation time shall be sufficient so that the epoxy resin coating can be completely dried and tightly attached to the surface of the valve body, without false drying and moisture in the inner layer. The solidified epoxy resin coating can fully wrap the valve body metal, effectively insulate water vapor, acid and alkali corrosion, ultraviolet exposure and coastal high salt mist erosion, and perfectly adapt to municipal water supply, sewage treatment, outdoor pipe network, coastal projects and other complex working conditions.
Relying on the self-owned casting production line and the whole process management and control of intelligent ERP, each process parameter, such as sand blasting grade, spraying thickness, baking temperature and curing time, is recorded and scanned in a standardized manner throughout the process. The whole process is strictly implemented, without cheating on workmanship and materials, so that the anti-corrosion coating of each valve is uniform and dense, with full durability. It is not easy to rust and corrode in long-term use, effectively reducing the project after-sales maintenance cost, and providing high-quality and high-stability valve product guarantee for domestic and overseas distributors and engineering projects.
