What is a gate valve?
The gate valve is driven by the gate stem and moves linearly up and down along the gate seat.

How to correctly select a gate valve?

Real Estate – Building Water Pipeline Isolation
If the main building supply cut-off, isolating sections for maintenance in HVAC or fire sprinkler systems for controlling water flow, a flanged, rising stem gate valve with a cast iron or ductile iron body is a common and cost-effective choice.
